§ Tournament Rules and Conditions §

1. This is an American Backgammon Tour (ABT) sanctioned tournament.

2. The Tournament reserves the right to refuse an entrant without giving any reason.

3. Entrants may play in the division of their choice, but the Tournament reserves the right to disallow an entrant to play below his or her level.

4. Byes will be randomly awarded.

5. The tournament schedule will be strictly adhered to. Penalty points may be awarded if a player does not start on time or leaves the playing room without first signing out with a tournament official.

6. Time clocks may be used when any match is unduly delaying the tournament.

7. Final check-in is Saturday, September 27 by 10:00 a.m. Any player not checked in by 10:00 a.m. will be considered a NO-SHOW.

8. All deposits are fully refundable up until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008. Only cash will be accepted after Wednesday, September 17, 2008.

9. No smoking is allowed inside the hotel except for guest rooms designated as smoking rooms. Brief breaks are permitted during a match.

10. Cell phones must be turned off while matches are in progress.

11. The director reserves the right to change the format of any event to maximize the experience for the players.
