2023 FORT COLLINS BACKGAMMON CLUB

The Fort Collins Backgammon League scoring is intended to add an additional incentive to regular weekly or monthly play. This league is entirely volunteer with personal commitments to making this a fantastic experience, while working towards growing the backgammon community. Tournament rules governing play are posted on the USBGF website. The league director reserves the right to modify league rules, team representation and league champion nomination.

League Rules: Points that you gain throughout the year are added up, and there will be some kind of small prize at the end of the year for the leader. Not sure what yet; it’s mainly for bragging rights. We will continue to have 2 divisions, Beginner/Intermediate and Advanced/Open, as long as there are at least 4 in each. If there aren’t, or people just prefer one, we’ll combine everyone into one tournament. Note that Points will be halved in the lower division.

Winner Determination: The Fort Collins Backgammon League Champion will be based on the Player that has earned the most Points as of December 31, 2024, as determined by the Fort Collins Backgammon League Scoring, beginning January 3, 2024 (retroactively) and continuing throughout the year.  Point totals will reset each year on January 1.

Accolades: 2024 Fort Collins League Champion will receive a small prize, bragging rights, and free registration fee into the 2025 Wild West Shootout (division and side pool fees not included).
